Is a deposit required?
Each owner sets a deposit tier. Nothing is charged or held upfront - your card simply stays on file, and it's only charged if a damage claim is filed and approved, capped at the listed deposit.
What if the gear comes back damaged?
Both sides photograph the gear at pickup and return, so there's a timestamped condition record. Honest wear is never charged; real damage is mediated by Cache and charged to the card on file, capped at the deposit amount.
