Why we check
Handing a stranger your camera or your surfboard takes trust. Verification means lenders know who they're handing their gear to - there are no anonymous accounts on either side of a Cache handoff, and verified members book faster.
How it works
Verification runs through Stripe Identity: you photograph a government ID and it's confirmed in about 90 seconds. Cache never sees or stores your document - Stripe confirms your identity and tells us only that you passed.
The badge
Once Stripe confirms, an ID Verified badge appears on your profile and booking becomes available. You can start verification any time from Account Details, or right inside your first booking request.
